The Ritual Robe Dress - Pink Clay
The Ritual Robe dress is the perfect elevated ‘at home’ piece to swan about in. During various stages of lockdown this year I have fallen into the trap of wearing tracksuits daily; which don’t get me wrong is completely fine. I just found it was doing nothing for my creativity or sense of self.
I wanted to create some simple pieces that were incredibly comfortable yet felt a little more sensual and scared and this is one of them. The Ritual Robe dress is an extended shirt dress version of the Back to Basics shirt. Feather soft and delicately feminine, it is a beautiful piece to wear to help us ease into our Yin energy and really spend some quality time with ourselves. I love to wear this whilst performing rituals, working with crystals or just in gentle quiet moments of rest and reflection.
Pink Clay is a beautiful colour inspired by the rose hued Kaolin clay mask I apply to my face once a week (if I remember). A nurturing dusty pink to envelop the aura in warmth and comfort.
Made from a double layer of super soft lightweight Rayon this dress features Mother of Pearl moon shaped buttons, a loose raglan shape, soft free form silhouette, billowy buttoned sleeves, high low hemline, open mandarin collar, shirred detailing around the neck and a matching detachable tie belt .
It can be worn loose and free without the belt or cinched in and folded over with the belt depending on how you are feeling at the time. I also love to wear it open over dresses and jeans as more of a kimono or on its own with boots and a jacket for more dressed up occasions.
- 100% hand dyed lightweight Rayon (double layer)
- Super soft and breathable for year round enjoyment
- Timeless shape
- Versatile multi wear appeal
- Beautiful and unique Moon buttons
- Flattering and comfortable oversized style
This piece is designed to loosely skim over the body, draping with the natural curves of your form. It has therefor been sized accordingly to ensure that fit across all sizes. If you prefer a tighter fit you can use the belt and belt loops to create a more cinched in silhouette. However If you would prefer a more tailored fit; opt for going down a size.
I am wearing a size S in the images above and would normally wear a standard size 10-12 for dresses in most Australian labels. As most of our pieces are adjustable and reasonably free flowing; our sizing is simply a guide. Here is what the sizes for this piece translate to in standard Australian sizes.
XS = 6 - 8
S = 10 - 12
M = 12 - 14
L = 14 - 16
