A state of being pleasantly lost in one's thoughts; a daydream.
It is with a very happy heart I finally present to you my latest instalment of treasures; 'Timeless Reverie'.
It seems at at time where time itself is lost, boundless and so fraught with turbulence and emotion I sought refuge in years gone by. Letting my imagination find comfort and romance in wondering what it might be like to live through other momentous passages of time in our history. Rather than try and makes sense of the present. It is here in the safety of the past where details are preserved in the peace of what has been and gone, that I found endless inspiration and wistful escapism.
Colour palettes, tailoring, and details such as bows, pin tucks, ruffles were sampled from my daydreams and started to form what is now a collection of beautiful pieces that are timeless in their approach and charming in their appeal.
To mirror this sentiment I felt it only fitting to shoot this range on my ultimate muse throughout all all passages of time; my mother. Who so effortlessly wears these pieces with the same, if not more ease and finesse as myself. Proving that style and grace is completely irrelevant of one's stage in life. It is in every sense of the word; 'timeless'.
These photographs are captured in and around Mum's beautiful home in Daylesford. Which was also was a huge source of inspiration for this range. The historical reverence of the old buildings, the faded glamour of the beautiful homes, the lush meandering gardens, and of course the renewing quality of it's healing waters, all served as thirst quenching inspiration for my at times lost and shattered creativity.
To escape (when lock down allowed for it) to a different landscape and spend time in Mum's little slice of paradise, allowed my imagination to get lost in an almost fairy like alternate reality. And upon it's return, deliver little snippets of magic to work into clothing that I hope has the same dreamy quality upon you wearing them.
The intention behind these pieces is to uplift your spirit by draping yourself in something soft and delicate.
To remind you that, despite the chaos, small pleasure can be found in dressing ourselves in something lovely.
To encourage you celebrate the milestones. Big or small.
And to help colour your memory with your own beauty and grace, when days feel like and eternity and months fly by in an instant.
A love letter from my own 'Timeless Reverie.'
Where you are welcome to wait out the storm, with me.
